Job Title: Oriental Medicine Practitioner  

Job Duties:

  • Perform treatment for patient by using Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine combined with Western Medicine in a variety of diseases, health issues, and emotional disorders;
  • Apply Western medical knowledge  and ancient Chinese medical techniques in patient treatment;
  • Develop programs of acupuncture and Oriental medicine;
  • Conduct research on disease prevention and clinical treatment by integrating Chinese Traditional Medicine with Western Medicine;
  • Study clinical cases, technical methods, and clinical experience and write related articles;
  • Participate in and organize academic activities in the field of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine;
  • Use Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture in treatment of chronic cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy or post surgery.
  • Research and study complementary treatment of cancer patient with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine;
  • Develop individual treatment plans and strategies by using knowledge and experience in both Chinese and Western Medicine;
  • Analyze physical findings and medical histories to make diagnose according to the combination of Western and Chinese medicine traditions;
  • Evaluate treatment outcomes and recommend new or alternative treatment as necessary to further promote, restore, or maintain health of patients.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in the Integration of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine;
  • Over five years of combined clinical and research experiences in Integration of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine;
  • License of Oriental Medicine Practitioner in the state of Pennsylvania.
