Bettina Herbert, MD Dr. Herbert is a leading fellowship-trained integrative medicine physician who combines appropriate therapies from functional medicine, nutrition, botanical medicine with her extensive skills in osteopathic medicine, movement and her board certification in rehabilitation medicine.

A graduate of Cornell University, Dr. Herbert received her medical training at Michigan State University where she attained her MD while simultaneously studying manipulation at the College of Osteopathic Medicine. She regularly teaches both traditionally trained and osteopathic medical students and residents, and speaks at numerous regional, national and international conferences. Her writing appears in medical texts as well as in more popular publications.

Dr. Herbert also completed the highly regarded Integrative Medicine Program at the University of Arizona as a Bravewell fellow, a rare honor. During the two-year training originally conceived and launched by integrative medicine pioneer, Dr. Andrew Weil, she was taught by international experts in nutrition, botanical medicine, stress reduction, sleep disorders, manipulation, non-western medical systems and integrative approaches to chronic illness.

She treats not only people with chronic pain but also a wide range of chronic conditions as well as those seeking to optimize their health and physical performance. Therapeutic approaches include:
