Xiaoyuan Yang

Dr. Xiaoyuan Yang is a fifth generation practitioner of acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbal medicine. She received her medical training and earned her medical doctor’s degree in 2001 in China.  

After relocating to the United States, she had worked as an instructor at Dallas College of Oriental Medicine.  She has apprenticed with her uncle, Dr. Jingduan Yang for advanced training in acupuncture and Chinese medicine since 2008.

She has obtained extensive experience with the US medical system and common health problems by studying in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavior at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. And she also participated in a research of ovarian cancer with Dr. Carolyn Matthews in Sammons Cancer Center at Dallas.

Dr. Xiaoyuan Yang is a staff acupuncturist in the Tao Institute of Mind & Body Medicine and Mryna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital.

Dr. Xiaoyuan Yang specializes in acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapy for pain management, woman’s health and reproductive wellness, mental health, chronic cancer care, and chronic LYME disease.
